Hi my name is
Pauline Fraser-Munro, and I have been working as a registered
childminder for 16 years.
I am
fully insured through the Scottish Childminding association, and
hold a public liability certificate.
I comply
with all the requirements set out by The Scottish Care Commission.
To meet all of the commissions requirements, means that I have been
inspected, my home has been deemed as safe and that I and any
other person living on my premises who is over the age of 16 has
been police checked.
My home is child orientated
with safety gates, plug covers etc. and meets the Scottish Care
Commissions standards and Fire Services regulations.
I aim to provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for
children in my care. I intend to work along side the parents to
develop a friendly, open and trusting enviroment that your child
will enjoy coming too.
I provide activities that are stimulating and suitable for each
age category. Some of our activities are: arts and crafts,
stories, singing and dancing, outside play, free play, puzzles,
walks and outings, and cooking.
I like to provide a home from home enviroment so that your child
feels safe and secure while they are in my care.
Each child is provided with a Daily Diary that goes home with
them each night. In the diary you will find information about
what your child has done during that day, what they have had to
drink and eat, nappy changes, sleep times, and various other bits of
information. The diary even consists of pages that you and
your child can fill in together, and at the end of the week your
child is given a picture to colour in at home.
You will also be given my Childcare booklet with a list of all my
policies and proceedures, these include the following:
Drop off and collection procedures
Special needs policy
Child protection
Confidentiality
Fire
Smoking
Medicines
Health & safety
Behaviour
Complaints
Emergency plan

Sun protection
Verbal & physical abuse
You are also provided with a form for your to sign, giving me
permission to take your child out in the car, apply sun cream, take
photographs, administer medication, and outings.
My main
priority is the children, that they are safe, secure, and happy, and
also to have a good working relationship between myself and you, the
parent. |
